TFT EAS 911 Emergency Alert System Encoder/Decoder and Chyron Codi Character Generator
Connect the TFT EAS911 to the Chyron Codi using a pin-for-pin cable. Put the MODE switches on the back of the
Codi all down.
On the TFT:
- Press PASSWORD 9 1 1 (If you changed from the default, use your password.)
- Press PASSWORD 9 1 2
- Up-arrow to item
18. ENABLE CHAR GEN INTERFACE
- Press ENTER
- Up-arrow to
CHYRON CODI I/F
- Press ENTER
- Edit the other items that appear, if desired.
- Press RESET
- Press RESET
Send these files to the Codi to generate characters. (In Hyperterm, use Transfer → Send Text File....) Set the port settings to 9600-8-N-1-Xon/Xoff.
